Charles River Underpass Design Moving Forward

by EJN Comments (0) Articles, Press Release

Dear Underpass Supporter,

As you may recall from our last Underpasses Update, the design, permitting, and public announcement of the Anderson Bridge Underpass was put on hold by MassDOT to ensure this project had the backing of the new Secretary, Stephanie Pollack.

On June 11, at a public forum about riverside parklands, Michael Trepanier of MassDOT announced the revitalization of the design process! The Coalition for the Anderson Bridge Underpass co-authored a letter to Secretary Pollack with gratitude about this important decision to move forward.

WHAT ARE THE NEXT STEPS?
Gill Engineering is in the process of reviewing MassDOT’s comments on the design.

Once Gill has responded to MassDOT’s comments, a public informational meeting will be announced. We are waiting with bated breath for the announcement of this public meeting - you will know as soon as we know!
