Rich Earns Another Rossetti 5k Title

Heather Rich (CMS) dominated with her 19:24 clocking to win the 21st Annual Louise Rossetti Women’s 5K. Mariah Tinger (SRR), a late entry, wasn’t too far back in 20:10. For Heather, it was her second race since Sunday but she still appeared to have fresh legs.

Rounding out the top five were: Kelly O’Connor (3rd, 21:11), Ellen Poveromo (4th, 21:59) and Alexandra Kay (5th, 22:21). Poveromo, at a spry 52 years, showed all the youngsters that age ain’t nothing but a number; most of the younger legs there couldn’t keep up with her. Speaking of youth, Kay is only 15 years old! That’s a solid time for such a young runner and we should probably expect to see some podium finishes from her here (and elsewhere) in the future.

Kristen Murry hides behind her Top 50 finisher shirt. Or is she showing it off? So hard to tell these days.
